In celebration of the fifteenth anniversary of Broadway's landmark musical event The Lion King, cast members Alton Fitzgerald White, Chondra La-Tease Profit and Lindiwe Dlamini 'flipped the switch' and lit the world-famous Empire State Building's tower lights with the signature color of the production. 'Inside The Lion King,' the first immersive, pop-up exhibit ever created for a Broadway show, arrives adjacent to Bryant Park, on 42nd Street and Avenue of the Americas, for a limited time to celebrate 15 years of The Lion King in New York City. More than 65 million people have experienced The Lion King, but never before like this. In this free exhibit, fans of all ages will experience and interact with 86 museum-quality artifacts including hand-made puppets, sculpted masks, elaborate artisan costumes and extraordinary sets that have appeared in productions from around the world. It was another version of 'Circle of Life' on-stage at Broadway's THE LION KING Friday night, September 3, when The Bachelorette's Ali Fedotowsky and fiancé Roberto Martinez were joined by both of their families to take in the show. Following the performance, they joined cast member Dashaun Young (Simba) back-stage where he presented them with a gift from the cast. Broadway's landmark musical event THE LION KING recently welcomed to the company: GARETH SAXE as the evil and power-hungry lion Scar; ALTON FITZGERALD WHITE as Mufasa, the great lion warrior and ruler of the Pridelands; CAMERON POW as the prim and proper hornbilled bird Zazu; BEN JEFFREY as the carefree warthog Pumbaa; FRED BERMAN as the wisecracking meerkat Timon; and CHAUNTEÉ SCHULER as the loyal lioness Nala. Jeffrey, Berman and Schuler will mark their Broadway debut with The Lion King.
